Sunday mornings are meant to be slow, and that is how our morning started. We didn’t even do a proper breakfast before driving to Stockbridge MA. We popped into the Norman Rockwell museum before getting a nice lunch in town. Then we headed to the elusive trail head. After at least 5 U-turns, we finally found the AMC parking lot and hit the trail. The rout up to Connecticut’s HP starts out through a beautiful forest. And then it goes straight up. We scrambled over rocks to Round Mountain. Then down, then up. We hit the HP in about one hour.
Then we went on to tri-state marker at the boarders of CT, NY and MA as it was only a 10 minute hike further.
Tomorrow is predicted to be sunny and warm. Happy Trails!
