Today was our long hike. 3,600 ft of elevation gain and a total of 14.8 miles.  At 5,344 ft, Mt Marcy is the high peak in the high peaks region of New York.  This area is stunningly beautiful.  This is a destination not to be missed.

We rewarded ourselves with a celebratory beer and are now snuggling into bed.
